Workshop 3D weaving: An introduction to the technique of three-dimensional weaving
Jos Klarenbeek and Vera de Pont have been working with Hella Jongerius and her studio Jongeriuslab since 2018 on research into various methods and applications of 3D weaving. In this workshop they will introduce the subject of 3D weaving, while participants also gain practical experience. During the workshop, explanations are given about different bindings and methods in the process of weaving. Participants will get hands-on practice using paper as a material. While weaving, it will become visible how the color of the warp and weft influences the overall appearance through the mixing of colors in the different bindings.
